We stopped by Lohstroh Family Farms while we were camping at Deer Creek State Park. We had our Greyhound with us, so we figured it would be ok to take her, since this is an outside attraction. We arrived at the park, put our dog on her leash and proceeded to walk towards the front building. Out of nowhere, a very rude woman (the name Karen is appropriate) comes up to us and says " We have a no dog policy" I said that's fine, we will stay outside. Karen replied, with a nasty tone, "In your car, you will!"
Trust me, I understand liability and insurance, but if "Karen" would've approached us with something like "Hi folks, thanks for coming to see us today, but I am very sorry, we don't allow dogs at the farm today." that would've been a more tactful way of taking care of a simple situation, instead of showing your rear-end and over reacting.
I will never recommend this farm, just because of a very rude person that either owned the farm or worked there.
Let me tell you something else, I had a wad of cash in my pocket ready to spend, another farmer in need will get it...definitely...
Read moreWe used to love Lohstrohs Pumkin patch it was so cheap and so friendly other years. We went today with a group of friends and had fun but didn’t wanna pay for most things bc we couldn’t believe how expensive the experience was… :( I was kinda disappointed with how unfriendly the staff was this year..just not very nice about us asking questions :( Over $50 for a family of 3 to do all the things! way too over priced :( They we’re advertising 1 ticket per 1 Pumpkin but costing every person $10 for hayride whether you pick out a pumpkin or not… The donuts were really greasy Loved the cider tho! Circle S Farms is close by very nice and local people and we LOVED it last year!! So affordable and so cute with many things to do!! Will be going back to Circle S Farms to pick out our...
Read moreWe happened upon Lostroh’s farm yesterday and I have to report it is a hidden gem!
Their pumpkin and gourd selection was great quality and priced reasonably! We enjoyed strolling through their sunflower and wildflower field cutting as many stems to fill an entire vase for only $10.
Our kiddo enjoyed their face painting and playing with the baby goats. We even had a visit with their little orange farm kitty.
The views were gorgeous and the stems are just as lovely. There is something for everyone to enjoy and I highly recommend making the trip.
They even have an awesome calendar of events to partake in- we unfortunately missed the Breakfast with Butterfly release - but are planning for it next year! We will...
