I discovered my first covered bridge in Bucks County randomly years ago while driving around aimlessly. It wasn’t this one, but I have since found this one and others in the area, and they are all unique part of the history of Bucks County PA. Cabin Run covered bridge is well-maintained, and quite a unique site. Seeing it is like stepping back in time, to a slower paced, calmer, less hectic time. Be sure to take the time to get out of your vehicle and walk around on this bridge, so that you can see the wonderful architecture, and scenery. Just be careful to park your car safely, and watch for cars driving by.

Amazing bridge - traditional Bucks County colors and signage - roads going in along the river spur are not so great and if raining or bad weather would not attempt. Running along the side of the river spur was really nice to see and parking around is ample to get out and take several pictures.

My family and I went on a "Covered Bridge Tour" through the beautiful old farming region west of Doylestown and Tinicum. Covered bridges have a certain magic about them... old time charm with a dash of mystery and always a story. This was one of several that we sought out.
