Awesome Trail to hike. Beware of rattlesnakes. Gets very overgrown at the entrance of the trail during spring and summer. Starting at Route 87 Trailhead, there is an extremely steep uphill climb for the first half mile. Then it levels off and travels across the top of the mountain before it descends into the valley created by Little Bear Creek. Drive another mile or two up the road and take a right turn up little bear road and there is another parking lot off the left about a mile up that road as well.
