We stayed late in the season around Indigenous Peoples Day. Our site was fairly close to 4 others but luckily only 2 sites had campers even though the park was fully booked. We liked the hiking options and went for two different walks. There was a band at the amphitheater one night but we stayed at the trailer because it was cold. For a close touristy experience try going to Plymouth Cheese factory and Coolidge birthplace right down the road.

Excellent. Pick any site you won’t be disappointed. Some prime sites are definitely better with sunset and Mountain views. Head over to Camp Plymouth state park for pedal, paddle boarding, kayaking or for day use. Visit President Coolidge’s birth place and the cemetery nearby. John Coolidge the president’s father started Plymouth cheese, visit the cheese making site if/when you are there.

My wife and I stayed two nights in mid-September at a prime lean-to site.

What we liked most: Privacy (the sites are mostly spread out, with very limited direct sight lines into the sites around you); Quiet (quiet hours are 10pm-7am, but the campground was virtually silent all throughout our stay) Staff (Tiffany and others were welcoming and attentive)

What may be off-putting to others (but we didn't mind): Few amenities; Some minor cosmetic issues in the restrooms (facilities were clean and stocked, but some paint chipping and wear was evident); The prime sites have some impressive views, but most of the other sites are quite modest sized spaces cleared out...

Coolidge State Park is an absolute gem in Vermont! The campsites are spacious, quiet, and tucked away in the woods, giving you that true back-to-nature feeling while still being well maintained. The views from the picnic area and some of the hiking trails are stunning - especially at sunset.

The park staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities (bathrooms, showers (hot water), and picnic spots) were clean and well kept. We really appreciated how peaceful the campground felt, even when it was busy. It’s a great spot whether you’re camping in a tent or just visiting for a hike...

The park manager Garecht Bruner is excellent. He was very knowledgeable and gave clear directions as we stayed during COVID times. Our neighbor in our original tent site was extremely loud and Garecht was quick to arrange for another site. There was also an active bear when we went and he gave us very clear directions about how to deal with it. We were completely safe. The toilets were very clean - one of the best outdoor toilets in all of the campgrounds we have stayed in - we camp quite often. Highly recommend. The views are gorgeous. The campground itself is a...
