Fantastic campground on the unbeatable Pocomoke River. Absolutely AMAZING place to camp if you want to canoe / kayak / fish. Noise was a problem - nearby campers had older teens / young 20-something campers that were loud at all hours and nobody seemed to do a thing about it. I almost left one night it was so bad. Very disappointing. Presumably this isn't always the case. What is truly miserable is the restroom / shower situation. They're old, and limited (the best I can tell there's only one restroom complex, beneath the camp store). The camp store however was great! Update: the rangers here do NOTHING if there is a group breaking rules. Last night 17 people occupied 2 adjoining sites (rules say 6 per site max). They played music until 11pm (quiet hours start at 10). They let off fireworks and got a verbal warning "you're not allowed to do that here". The Natural Resources Police FINALLY showed up at about 11:00 and things got quieter. What's the point of having rules if you're not going to enforce them. I love this park, I've stayed here five times in the last few months, but I'm not sure I'll be coming back. Last night was atrocious. The only solution the park staff would offer is to move my site. Why should I have to move when others are breaking the rules???

Very nice campground, well laid out & maintained. The bathhouses are very clean (though we’re here off season) practically a ghost town (except weekends). We tried walking some of the trails, but there had been a lot of rain & when we went from woodland to swamp, we didn’t get far before it was too mucky to continue. We did get into Milburn Landing (a trail dumped us into the campground, so we had to take a walk through to check it out). The sites seem larger (longer) in Shad vs Millburn & more undergrowth gives more privacy to sites. Millburn was very pretty with a park like feel, but lacks the large dock (but does have a launch area) and pool. This time of year, neither meant much to us, it was a perfect escape from the snow still in my yard in Northern Poconos😔 We stayed on Acorn loop with our 3 dogs in a 31’ travel trailer & had plenty of room for slides & awning to open. Good size sandy pad with picnic table, fire ring & a nice counter in between with a post & lantern hook

This is one of the nicest state parks we have stayed in. There are no sewer or water hookups, although there are water spigots in the centers of each camping loop. There are some loops with 30 amp electricity, and some loops allow dogs. Every site is heavily wooded, so there is no chance of a satellite signal. Cell service, both AT&T and Verizon, is slow. But every site is beautiful. The bathrooms are fairly new and are clean. Staff is friendly. The trails in the park are nice, but be sure to bring plenty of tick spray because the ticks are ridiculously numerous. They weren't bad in our site, but we picked up over 20 on us and our dogs when walking the trails. We have a 40' motorhome and F-150 and our site, Deer Run loop site 115, was plenty deep enough for both. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Very disappointed with the excuse staff. The pool is only open Saturday and Sunday because we are short staff, the canoes, kayak and paddle board are only Saturday and Sunday because we are short staff. How can you rent site 7 days a week and tell me what you have available and then when I inquire about the pool you drop the bomb oh that's closed except Saturday and Sunday. Then completely close the office, store and laundry to have a new roof done and then all of the staff hanging around in truck and telling guests that they have to check in online. How about opening the pool or renting out the kayaks and paddle boards or replace them rotten boards on the dock? Honestly this park needs a do over. Close the gate and completely replace the staff and start with the top because management is totally responsible for the mismanagement and you can't rent sites to a bunch of people who are on vacation during the week and then tell them oh all our services are closed and we will just be here getting paid to set in our air conditioning office and trucks but we don't have enough staff to open the pool or renting out the canoe. I will never be stopping at the park again because it is a total fraud by deception and is renting sites by fraudulent advertising all the services that are then not available. I suggest that people drive down to Crisfield or visit other campgrounds that are professional managed...
