Let's me start by saying that this area is beautiful no matter what, with tons of nature to explare and enjoy, however the hike from trailhead #11 to #10 is not for the faint of heart, and should not be tried by a person alone. Probably it's been a result of the storms we had this year, but big parts of the trails are non existed or has been wiped out and nature has taken over making it very challenging to stay on trail. At some point we got lost and needed to explore around to find our track. You can see in the photos and videos how hard it could be to distiguish the walkable trail. Also, it is important to wear bright colors as we crossed a couple of hunters with rifles deep inside the woods. In other words, although I still think this is a great hike, is more dangerous and challenging than it was let's say, one year ago. That's why the 4 stars and not 5. This is not family friendly trail, unless you select the trail from that goes form Trailhead #11 to the Double Lake Recreation area, which is like a 1.2 mile walk, but to go from #11 to #10 is a challenge, and totally recommended if you are avid hiker and...

It has since been well marked like the remainder...

The best thing about the trail is the pine smell--fabulous on a warm, sunny early April weekday. AllTrails mentions a trail around the lake. We took it, but it's meant for bikes and we never saw the lake. It was still a nice trail.

One thing that was truly remarkable and enjoyable--no trash on the...
