This place is pretty neat. Found it by accident but it's free but does run on donations so please do donate. It's not really a museum but more of an outdoor historical village. Neat little buildings that are either replicas or originals that have been moved. Has a HUGE collection of taxidermy animals which is a bit...icky but there are many most would never get to see otherwise or up close. In my opinion it's better suited for ages 10+ just because children smaller may not hold a lot of interest in much except the taxidermy. Read moreMy first time walking thru the buildings and looking at all of the doctor's implements of era's gone by and all of the other objects in the other buildings and I brought my granddaughter with me and showed and explained what the objects were and what they were used for and my mother-in-law who was born in Virginia in the 30's moved to Point Pleasant 50 yrs ago, had even more interesting information she shared with us.
