The new RV camping sites along the north west lake shore are beautiful however, the ravenous behavior by those seeking that perfect spot is disturbing. This campground allows placement of small tents on the RV spots to hold them. This negates the walk up /first come/first serve rule. This bending of the rules should be addressed. Folks are knocking on camper doors asking when and what time the camper is vacating a spot "cause they want it" this is very rude and not relaxing at all. The rules clearly state a 3 pm check out. The constant traffic by those waiting to jump on an empty site and place a tent keeps the dusty gravel road continually stirred up along with random cars sitting near spots with the occupant ready to jump out and drop a tent, very bizarre. Dogs running loose and pooping everywhere is not only disgusting, it's obviously breaking the rules. Rules state to keep the dog on a leash and pick up their poop. Loose dogs attacking other dogs that ARE on a leash is a real problem. This campground has little to no supervision. I found this campground to be noisy 24/7. Dusty /dirty air from the constant traffic driving thru the campgrounds gravel roads at all hours of the day and night. I found the dog issues very frustrating and the over all poor supervision to be unacceptable for me. I will not return. I camped here in a travel trailer for 1 week....
Read moreOur family camps a lot. Jester is where it all started. There are ample amounts of campsites and a mix of walk-up and reservable sites. Most of the sites are very large, and there are many tent sites near the water. Beautiful views and walking trails. If you have an RV, however, beware that the gravel here is very small and it can be messy.
EDIT: Sadly the last two years have warranted star removals. I still love this park. What I don't love? Raising prices and even less maintenance. Uneven campsites full of garbage and refuse. Fire rings full of ash all the way to the top. Hosts that don't enforce the rules. Dirty bathrooms. Rules clearly state campers must be at campsite within 24 hours, instead fake tents "claim" spots a week in advance, blocking out campers that want a spot for a day or two during the week. Oh but raise the rates... $20 for a primitive tent site? That's too high. I hope very much things...
Read moreMy stay has been wet -yet worth the quiet 🤗😁😊😋😎 May I add - beginning @ 11:55pm 2019-as human using their personal Wild Turkey Caller from bellows of Campground 1. Within 5 minutes -response from R.V. in campground 4 occurs. These humans then spend all hour's of night roaming Jester Park acting like fools I simply put on my earbuds & ignore these fools. Park Ranger (s)& Staff apparently cannot "Quiet Time " because they are not being humans at this time. Mere tecnicallity, I am positive. However, if Park Ranger & Staff living on property cannot be a part of the Solution. They must be part of the problem. Sad to say 😏 wouldn't you know. Since I posted my edit regarding human's imitating Wild Turkey's from bellows of Campground Saturday 1. Idiot is starting early this night. Geez, earplugs tuned to IPR Studio One OR Classical....
