The forest was great and the view was espectacular, The problem was the owner of the food kiosks We arrived at the place going to the bathroom and noticed a sign that you have to pay fifty cents. My boyfriend expressed himself with me when we where walking away from the bathroom area. A group of 3 woman told us that is not necessary to paid that you could use it. It seems that one of the women was a family member of the owner got annoyed at how my boyfriend expressed himself and went to the owner gossiping things that had not been said at all without disrespecting anyone. The owner went to the bathroom area to confront my boyfriend and began to disrespect him saying that he was disrespectful to his wife.(which that was not the case ) An it was and obligation to pay for the bathroom use and if you didn’t pay you can’t use it. The daughter very kindly explain that it is a donation and we are not obligated to pay the fifty cents. My boyfriend was trying to explain the owner that he never approached to anyone just to me. The man continued arguing that he had no patience with people that he had to express in a appropriate way around women because he did not know how to treat well a woman. Because he spoke badly in front of her, which I repeat again was only with me when we were moving away from the area but the owner was stubborn and was about to fight with my boyfriend. This was an unpleasant experience just beginning to arrive at the park. Be careful on how you speak since there are people who get upset for no reason listening to outside conversation that at no time was...

Read moreThis is a beautiful place, but the upkeep is shameful. There used to be a large, spring fed swimming pool that now looks like it was hit with a bomb. The trails are almost completely closed because of lack of maintenance. The drive through the mountains is magnificent and there are many incredible places to eat. Is it worth the drive? No, not really...it is about 2 hours from San Juan, but you can complete every open trail in about an hour. Once a magnificent place to visit, but now just a remnant of what...
