"What a truly unforgettable experience! We recently visited this beautiful, narrow piece of land, and it quickly became one of the absolute highlights of our trip. We were told there's even a navy base at the very end of the stretch, adding an interesting layer to the landscape. We ended up stopping perfectly in the middle, giving us an incredible vantage point. The convenience of being able to just walk over to the beach from the ample parking area was a huge plus. The sunset we witnessed here was simply one of the best we've ever seen – a breathtaking panorama with the majestic mountains silhouetted against the vibrant hues of the setting sun. The way the light played off the water and the distant peaks was utterly captivating. It felt incredibly peaceful and awe-inspiring, a true moment of serenity shared with my family. While the access to the beach is fantastic, it's worth noting there's a bit of a climb to get down to the shoreline. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend it for pregnant women or anyone with injuries, as the uneven terrain could be challenging. However, for those able to navigate it, the reward is an expansive, beautiful beach with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. This place is an absolute must-see for its incredible sunsets and serene...

The spit has always been a place of comfort and letting go and refreshing my spirit since I've been a young adolescent. I'd have to say my only negative comment about how to cook is how much litter there seems to be growing down there 😔 it's ridiculous how thoughtless some people can really be.... But mother nature of course Congress all that with her beautiful everything that has to do with the ocean and also at the end of our Ediz Hook is our Coast Guards with whom we should always try to remember and think about because they are out brave souls that save lives more often then you think and these guys and their families sacrifice so much to do their sometimes unnoticed duties for our country and keeping our waters safe! So thank you to the coast guards for sure if you're out there and happened to see one or two. And selling closing and I will say I definitely recommend going to Edison if you're new to the area or just passing through. It's worth the Little trek off the...

Beautiful oceanside park, if a bit odd to head to. At the end of a dead end road you must first pass through a paper mill to get to the park beyond. The views from the park are amazing, with Port Angeles to one side and Canada to the other. The ferries can be seen heading across as well as other ships. There is a lovely beach with an alternately sandy and rocky shore to the slightly calmer Port Angeles side that is great to wander along. Many driftwood trees rest there for a nice perch if you want. There is also a grassy area with some picnic tables, as well as a small sheltered restroom. The beach was perfect for wandering and combing for sea shells while visiting with family or friends. Had an amazing afternoon here and would recommend as a beach to...

Ediz Hook: Worth a Look: One of the most unique locations we have visited at any beach. Being able to look one way to Port Angeles and the Olympic mountains, and then turn around and see Victoria, BC was a bit awe-inspiring. The beach has mostly rocky portions with a few stretches of dark sand. Lots of beautiful rock along the beach though, and an impressive amount of driftwood. I would NOT recommend going into the water itself to wade. It looked rough, even compared to some other portions of the PNW. Not really recommended for those with children, and the Coast Guard base can be a bit noisy. You have to drive an interesting little route through a recycling plant. Very much recommend.
