If you're looking for a super easy hike to a waterfall this is the one. It's a .2 mile hike on a paved road. I didn't give 5 stars because it isn't much of a hike.
The trail runs through a forested path and ends with a nice viewing area of the falls with a bench to relax on. It is also safe/easy to climb down to the base of the waterfall and enjoy it up close and feel the mist on your face.
We were able to enjoy the spot to ourselves for about 30 minutes and it was amazing, but I think we were lucky because it was around 5pm and we came in between rain storms. As we left, 5 cars in a row pulled into the lot.
The lot is small, maybe for 25 cars. There is a vault toilet and no other amenities at the trail head. At the lot there is a large river across the street which is beautiful. This trail is handicap accessible with the paved trail and great for little ones to view an amazing waterfall with...

Quite a bit of parking available, as well as a restroom, but I imagine it can get quite full in peak season as it was mostly full on a drizzly, early season day. You have a beautiful view of the Elwha River right there and although the road past the parking lot was washed out and closed to vehicles when we were there, it looks like a great starting point for longer hikes. The hike to the falls is short, paved, and has very little elevation gain so you don't even need to be a hiker for this one. Currently the NPS has poetry dotting several popular areas so that's a nice addition...
Read moreStunning views. Moderately easily accessible. And free, can't beat free! Perfect for leisurely enjoyment of a gorgeous landscape. I saw an intimate little waterfall that was super easy to get to. And the small parking lot has a breathtaking creek literally right across the street. You can enjoy right from the street. And if you are willing to climb up and and over some rocks you can view this beautiful body of water even closer. Awesome and inspiring sites. Includes a camping type style restroom. Ya know, the kind with no plumbing. So go potty before you leave the house. Great place for meditation, family fun or even a romantic date. I'd love to return and definitely...
