Enjoy a beautiful stroll on an amazing path that Overlooks the shipping channel and winds their way through title marshes. Keep your eyes peeled you will see everything from geckos, turtles, migrating Shorebirds, look the rosette spoonbill and of course the dolphin show has the Freighters go by. When we visited there was also a story book Trail that featured the children's book about the Roseate spoonbill. This added an extra layer of fun for the family. Bring plenty of water as the walk get very warm in the summer. There is plenty of parking and a bathroom. They are doing some upgraded Construction and sometimes parking is limited. There is several Pavilions for shade along the way and one large Pavilion that overlooks a lake. This would be a good spot for a picnic. Also if you remember you will get a better look at all the wildlife if you bring binoculars. Maybe it depends on the season, but we were "chased" back to the car by swarms of mosquitoes and some type of biting flying insect I couldn't identify. Bug spray was completely ineffective. There was a pretty stiff breeze, but these mosquitoes must be fitted with jet engines because it did nothing to dampen their flying abilities.
