Sabine Pass Public Boat Ramps — Attraction in Port Arthur

Boat ramp destroyed by Dredge and barge companies. Orion and Hooks have destroyed our ramp because they are to cheap to rent a commercial dock. They slam their tugs and barges up against the dock cracking the concrete. There is an ordinance from. 2004 that prevents commercial activity at the ramp but it isn't enforced. TPWD has acquired grant money to move forward with replacing the ramp (1.5 mil) however Jefferson county drags their feet on the project. You literally cant give this money away. Cheniere is very interested in helping our community out as well, but no one can not get any traction on this project.

This ramp has just been rebuilt and is wonderful. There is plenty of parking for any size boat trailer. The only thing to be aware of is there is no fuel available in Sabine Pass except for the Sabine Pass yatch basin and they do offer non ethanol gasoline as well as diesel so plan ahead before headed down. The great advantage is it provides great access to the lake as well as the jetty's and beyond. They even have a small floating platform to make loading and unloading passengers much easier...

Great place to put in your boat to reach the Jetty. Boat Ramp is currently being renovated, so wouldn't expect it to be in service till mid summer based on these...
