Do not take anything here. The guy has horrible communication skills. You will have to call him if you want any updates on your device, and even if you do this, you may still not get a response. I took my laptop in for a noisy fan. It took him two weeks to reset my computer, which has nothing to do with the fan. Charged me $45. For reference, I reset my computer in five minutes (took another 30 minutes to reset without any manual labor or having to click anything, for a grand total of 45 minutes). I was already frustrated that I waited two weeks and was charged $45 for him to “fix” my computer by doing something that has nothing related to the fan. I took it home and the fan was super noisy again within 20 minutes of use, even though he told me he ran it for an entire day and it was not loud at all. At this point, I called him and asked for a refund and offered a video for proof that it was still noisy, as he fixed nothing and cost me 2 weeks of doing schoolwork on my laptop. He acted flabbergasted that I asked for a refund and told me the only thing he can do is take it back to him to fix it. Why would I bring it back to him if he did nothing the first time? He then interacted rudely with me, even cutting me off. After I pointed out that I was not finished with my sentence (it’s very rude to interrupt someone), he hung up and never answered a call again. So, this guy scammed me of $45 and did absolutely nothing helpful to my computer. I also assume he will counter this review with some retaliation, so to clarify, he told me he left a voicemail after I explained that I was going to pickup my laptop the next day due to a lack of communication. He never did. Not once did I get a voicemail saying my laptop was ready to pick up. He also said the $45 is a bench fee, and every repair place charges that. A bench fee is a fee when a device is diagnosed or repaired, which mine was neither, as he knew from the beginning it was a fan issue. Save yourself the money and the time, take your devices...
Read moreI had taken my ps4 to him to get the console cleaned and fan replaced. I will admit that it was FILTHY inside. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of one is because Mr. King was at the least considerate enough to send a picture of how bad it was, and then sent me a picture of it being done and it looked great! However, upon getting it home and being super excited to play again, the console started up and in less than a minute shut off and wouldn't turn back on. I called immediately, accounting for the time it took me to drive home which was 10 minutes and then plugging my console in to the power outlet and tv that took probably 5 minutes, so in a span of 15-20 minutes Mr. King was suddenly unreachable, I left messages, waited patiently as I assumed he was probably busy as anyone who runs a business would be. I would have gladly brought it back had I ever received a call back. Reading a few other reviews Mr. King has told people they should just come back to his house if he didnt respond. I didnt want to be rude and show up out of nowhere, I would never do that when its someone's home. A walk in shop absolutely, but I tried to be respectful of his time and honestly I just gave up. I figured I took a gamble on a business that came up suggested by Google, and I lost out. I know Mr. King will be tempted to respond to this and say I never brought anything to him. This was 3 years ago honestly, and I thought I left a review then. I am currently looking for a phone repair place near me and again this business came up towards the top of the list. I just want people to be aware of the possibility that you MIGHT get blown off if the repair/service isn't what you paid for or expected. One more heads up, from reading his responses to other people who felt the same, you have to assume it was your own fault that your issue wasn't resolved and any dissatisfaction with the service is your own problem and shame on you for expressing any disdain on a public domain. Have...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! I brought my iPhone in for a charging port replacement. It took him about an hour which is not bad and not the issue. I went home and charging port worked fine good as new, but he told me he messed my screen up so he had to change it so I was thinking "cool a new screen!" As I started to use my phone again, I noticed It was very hard to type, like the screen was typing random letters and not registering what I was typing, I then went to him again and he told me it's just a setting and that he cannot do a thing about it. So I went back home and just decided to deal with it. Next day I the phone drops from a very very short distance and the screen starts turning blue. There was one small crack and blue stuff started coming out of it and covering the screen. I had a thick case and a very good screen protector on my phone. This never would've happened before I went to him, 315 lbs was dropped on this phone and the screen was fine. But one little fall and it starts turning blue. As the day went on the screen became more and more not visible. So, I messaged Mr King about this, he read my message, and never responded. I was waiting for hours for a response from him, I thought maybe he just didn't have time to respond right that moment, but he just flat out never responded to me. Now I'm sitting here, no phone, not a clue what to do, and $125 in Mr kings pocket. Do not bring ng your devices in, take...
