Beautiful park. .74 perimeter, great for walking. This park is secluded with something for everyone. I did not know about it until our dog groomer saw her clients there. 3 section double gated dog park. Small, medium, large dogs. Covered area for family of pets. Water fountain for dogs. I have encountered aggressive dogs. A pit bull tried to jump on me to get at my 6 lb Maltese. The owner told me to kick his dog. He had 6 dogs and was in small dog area. We just left. How unfortunate. But been there numerous times with great experience. There is covered playground. Covered basketball court, very large. Also pickleball courts, tennis courts, volleyball sand court. Very large field with baseball/softball field. It states for ages 12 and under. There are gazebos and dock along pond in back! Watch out for gators and keep dogs at distance. Great parking and nice bathroom facilities. The park is well maintained and new. High quality and hope the residents will continue to respect it's beauty. I walk here occasionally, there are exercise machines along the sidewalk path. Bring your kids and pets. You will enjoy the amenities. I would like to meet some beginner...
Read moreWhen I first moved to PSL 12 years ago, I thought it was just a town with a bunch of nice family, sports, outdoorsy parks.
Examples: Oak Hammock (Devils Tree), Jessica Clinton, Lyngate, Swan Park, and of course Sportsman’s Park, being the main one. Sadly, a lot of the parks in St Lucie County have gone down hill in regard to maintenance since then.
With that being said, this park is newer & is one of my favorites. It is EXTREMELY well maintained, CLEAN, spacious, lots of different types of things to do, volleyball with sand court, pavilion roof covered basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer field, well paved sidewalks for walking, jogging, or roller skating, biking , along with workout stops, 3 different sized dog parks, boardwalks on the water, and of course a playground
Would be perfect for bbq or get togethers....
Read moreThere are 3 beautiful sections for all sizes of dog who are all learning to socialize with other dogs. Unfortunately there are adults who are bringing children into these parks and just in case they haven’t heard… off leash dogs don’t always know how to handle little kids. This is not a petting zoo and young children should not be having birthday parties in the dog section. No one wants to see a child bitten by a dog but with ignorance it’s bound to happen. There should be a sign advising young children to play in the kid park and have their parties in the pavilion that are rented out by parks department. Your child will be the one to suffer when their...
