I have been to a few other places camping in the past but Sizerville (in my opinion) just can’t be topped! Although we don’t live far, we camp here very often!! This is an absolutely awesome place. The campground is spotless, small and so friendly! The park manager, educator, hosts, maintenance crews and lifeguard staff are all so friendly, accommodating and helpful.
The thing that makes it exceptional though are the educational programs that they put on. Brian (the educator) is an unbelievable teacher. He puts so much time and effort into planning each thing activity. His passion for nature, and his patience and kindness towards kids isn’t often found. The pool is always a refresher in this summer heat, they have a small ice cream shop in the pool area.Fishing is fantastic during early trout season! The hiking trails are nice, one day hope to do bucktail path trail. The forestry roads offer beautiful rides to look at wild life and the vista overlooks. I recommend doing it all here. Lots of picnic areas including everything from large pavilions to a grill and tables and the best part it's mostly all shaded; neat walking bridges and a good playground for the kiddos. Read moreThis is a cute little park with most of the activities around the pool area. Near the pool are picnic tables, an education center, the park office, a play area, and pavilions. The park says there are 100 picnic tables in the park. Up campground road are 28 campsites that are right off route 155, which can be noisy. There are several areas for fishing, the Cowley Run in the park, and branches of the Sinnemahoning Creek nearby. There's also 5 miles of hiking trails.
