Whiskey Flat Trail — Attraction in Porterville

This trail is easy,clean, and beautiful scenery the entire way.The trail is very well kept. It was nice to not see graffiti everywhere or beer cans and trash. I picked up a bit of fishing string by the river but nothing compared to other places I've been. We will definitely be back again! If you're coming from Porterville or surrounding areas, the way we went was like if you're going towards Hot Springs. The scenic way you can call it. It was relaxing 😌 and so nice. UPDATE September 2023: Water is still flowing thru Bull Run Creek and the rock bridge across the creek has been repaired. Still very green and lovely along the trail and near the creek. See recent pics below #7-15. Have fun 😊

I've accessed this trail both in Kern and north of Kern at McKneely's. The Kern end has adequate space for parking, is relatively flat/easy for hiking, and becomes rocky at times. The northern end traverses up and down quite a bit and is much more challenging....
