Bayside Park — Attraction in Portland

Bayside Park in Portland, Texas, holds a special place in my heart. It was my go-to spot whenever I needed to clear my mind and reconnect with nature. Nice, well kept park. It is clean and has a marshy waterfront on the water. Not a very large park. Great views. The dunes are interesting but not expansive. Hard pack not soft sand. If you want a quick get away or a climbing challenge for smaller kids this is a great spot. Not ideal for the mobility challenged. But with help you can explore most of the park. This is a great spot took my nieces 4&8yrs we had a picnic on hill and the kids had fun rolling down a few times,then headed to park which was well taken care of and they ran around for about 20 minutes,after making our way down the pier to the sand dunes to take pictures of course finally got to the water where they were able to walk and play with sand and one more stop at the park before we leave.
