Bayside Park in Portland, Texas, holds a special place in my heart. It was my go-to spot whenever I needed to clear my mind and reconnect with nature. The park offers a peaceful atmosphere, with stunning views of the water that provide a perfect backdrop for reflection and relaxation. And Great spot for fishing. I don’t fish but I always saw people out there fishing. One of my most memorable moments at Bayside Park was the last time I visited—I was fortunate enough to see a shooting star. It was such a beautiful and serene experience, and it really captured the magic of the place. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to sit and think or simply want to take in the beauty of the outdoors, Bayside Park is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s a place that offers tranquility, and the natural beauty of the surroundings never fails to calm and inspire. Definitely a spot I’ll always cherish.

Nice, well kept park. It is clean and has a marshy waterfront on the water. Not a very large park. Great views. The dunes are interesting but not expansive. Hard pack not soft sand. If you want a quick get away or a climbing challenge for smaller kids this is a great spot. Not ideal for the mobility challenged. But with help you can explore most of the park. Dogs will enjoy an on leash walk here. Watch out for the marshy shore. May make for a stinky ride back if your dog jumps in.

This is a great spot took my nieces 4&8yrs we had a picnic on hill and the kids had fun rolling down a few times, then headed to park which was well taken care of and they ran around for about 20 minutes, after making our way down the pier to the sand dunes to take pictures of course finally got to the water where they were able to walk and play with sand and one more stop at the park before we leave. We had so much fun very nice park.
