Broughton Beach — Attraction in Portland

The area is nice and there is plenty of parking. I would love to go again but I ended up with swimmer's itch and have had a rash all over my body since the day after. It's been 2 weeks and more rash keeps appearing everyday all over my skin. If you aren't allergic to the cercarial parasite that causes swimmer's itch, you'll be fine. Water fountain near the bathrooms saved my century ride today. Fairly busy because of 4th of July weekend but still plenty of parking on Marine Dr. Good spot to relax and catch some shade and get away from the sun for a bit. You can also just hit the beach and whatnot. Plenty of port-a-potties since the bathrooms were closed for some reason. Usually families coming around and people taking their dogs out for a walk...

Nice day to spend at the sandy, riverside beach. Parking was full, had to circle around a couple of times but found a spot in less than 10 min. Pay $5 for parking. Or one could park on Marine Dr for free but lugging your beach gear with kids, dogs, coolers would be a pain. Easy access from parking lot to beach. Bathrooms on site.
