I had long wanted to check Rhonymeade out. Because I attended an herbalism class here, I finally had the opportunity. I am glad my path took me here: It's a lovely, reflective, and relaxing venue. It invites feelings of natural harmony and quiet history-- all with a dash of creative whimsy. It's very easy to get to from the State College area and makes a a perfect respite stop for travelers on routes 80 or 99. Parking was ample. There are lots of nooks and seating throughout the grounds so if you're just looking for a place to sit down reflect, unplug, and be in the moment, it's ideal. There are only port a potties, and the signage for plants could be improved. However, I think it's a wonderful spot to take book, magazine, journal, or sketch pad as you settle in and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. My suggestion would be to bring along hot tea or iced lemonade with a bagged lunch or snack..... and perhaps a seat cushion or blanket. Then, just cozy up and linger a spell. :-) While you're in the area, complete your morning or afternoon with an educational stroll around Millbrook Marsh, pick up a treat at Ways Apple Orchard, or even book a stay at the lodge at Bald...

Went on the farm tour day. Scenic grounds and some paths to walk. I didn't see many sculptures, but also didn't walk the paths. The man giving the tour did a good job explaining the house, barn, and fields; and the history of the place. They had a small art museum/welcome center and were also going to have a pig roast, which I didn't get to attend unfortunately. A pleasant experience. My wife would have given a higher rating. I was hoping for more sculptures surrounding the house, barn, and...

As you explore this enchanting meade, watch that you don't fall into a gnome hole! Remain silent as you gaze into the decorative ponds and you will see a fairy dance across the water. Then find a relaxing spot to commune with yourself and nature. The life that beats through this historic farm will bring exercise and relaxation to all who...

The Rhoneymeade Festival I went to, for the 2nd time, was awesome. How I adore what the organizers did and have done in years past. Rjoneymeade, as an arboretum, is a blast. It's an experience and, I believe, a well-kept secret. That's fine with me. The Festival is loke a reunion of wedding members that meet once a year.

I can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a quiet place outside to unwind, whether in the sculpture garden. gazebo, or labrynth. It also has plenty of activites in the garden for children as well.
