We went last year for a tasting and ended up purchasing 14 total bottles. Two of them we finished quickly but the others we stored in our basement (proper storage, cool temps, no light exposure). Two weeks ago, we opened a bottle, only to find it completely rancid! We opened another - same thing. And another. 4 in total. Disgusted, we waited until today. We opened 4 new ones (one after another) and each was rancid. We noted that all of these rancid bottles have corks that look suspect, so possibly there was a bottling issue. We have not yet opened the remaining 4 but will do so within the next week; we are not hopeful, however... None of the bottles from this winery have production or expiration dates listed on the labels.
We have wines from all over NYS which are both older and newer yet none of them has demonstrated this problem, despite identical storage conditions, so this is a function of this...
   Read moreNot the best place to go to. We drove about a hour to go here and when we arrived we went inside to be greeted by fruit fly galore. The lady who was there was very standoffish she did pour me some wines that tasted pretty good so we bought 3 bottles and drove back. Opened the first bottle and it was rancid so we thought meh lets open another it happens same thing and then on our 3rd we opened and poured then was steams inside the bottle and again another rancid bottle. Not sure how to track as there are no dates or anything on the bottles. I do advise to stay away...
