Salida Gulch Trail #95 — Attraction in Prescott

My family and I love this area. Easy enough of a walk that windes back and fourth through a tributary creek to lynx. The whole loop is roughly 4 miles. But the petroglyphs you find a bout a mile in are awesome. Hard to miss them right off the trail. My kids and dogs had a blast. There is a lot of gold panning in the area as well as lynx recreational panning...

I came here to run on a Monday morning, there's still snow on the trail, very much so. Road to the parking lot becomes unpaved but fine on a non-4WD. The west side of this trail is definitely much prettier with the mountain views, the east side was just going through trees and snow. Easy hike. Easy to find. No people on a Saturday?!! Awesome! It would have been more fun on a mountain bike. The terraine was pretty enough, but underwhelming. Some views of the ponderosa forests.
