Old Presque Isle light and keepers house has been a favorite place to visit since I first rolled up on a little Yamaha motorcycle in 1967. At the time F.B. Mr. Stebbins explained some of the timbers in the light keeper's house was salvaged from the wreck and used in the keeper's house. We were invited to climb the light tower and see the fresnel lens and take in the view of the lake. Mr. Stebbins was very intrigued with 2 young boys who rode their tiny motorcycles all the way from the west side of Detroit to Mackinac and made the stop at the old lighthouse. Read moreIt was nice to be able to visit in season..I didn't realize they had a cute museum and gift shop. It was really cool to see the mock ups of house the keepers and their families lived. It is also really nice that if you pay to climb the tower at either of the Presque Isle lighthouses, your receipt/ticket allows you to go to the other lighthouse and climb that as well. It's only $5 for adults and $3 for kids.

The hardest part is the last stretch which is a ladder to the top of the tower. The view her is absolutely gorgeous and if you love rocks, you will love...

They ask if interested then get the product and find you and give you there samples. BUT BEWARE OF THE ICECREAM SHOP.. My wife went to look at menu and steep back a steep to let someone else look and fell straight onto her back because of a steep down less then 3 feet from where you order. The girl in the window didn't even reply after my wife fell. To see if she
was OK. Thanks to the good Samaritan for helping me get her back up to here feet. Got her to the car. To gather her self. Not anyone from icecream shop or store came to see if she...
