Ok I've never been to this park until this past weekend. My family and I went camping for the night. The workers were very friendly and helped us when someone set up on the camp site that we had rented no big deal. Well the camp grounds and swimming area r a different story. Swimming area had someone lost hair floating in it and was nasty. We camped on the river were u need a boat to get to it. The camp site was just nasty. There was food and cake left all over the picnic table the trash can was overflowing with trash and it smelled like something was dead inside of it we had to put a bag over it to cut down on the smell. There was another trash bad left by a tree that animals had destroyed. The place to build a fire had trash, broke chairs and other broke things in it. Their was boats flying by our camp site while the kids were trying to play so we could not let them go very far to swim. This one boat was a loud boat (yes I knw u cant make people stop driving their boats at night it's a part of the camping experience that's not the problem) come by our site at one in the morning and stopped at the back of our boats if my husband would not have got up and shined a light on him I'm sure he was fixing to take some things out our boat he was that close to it with no lights on at all. So with all that I dont think we will ever go back. It wld b a nice place if they wld clean it up more that's the main thing I cant get over is how...

We are pleased to see all of the renovations and equipment updates completed at the park. It has been one of our favorite local spots for swimming and trails and we were excited for the re-opening. There a couple of reasons for only being able to give 4 stars. The restrooms that used to stay well-maintained and clean were less than satisfactory during our last two most recent visits. There was no toilet paper or soap in either the men's or women's restroom. While I understand that a busy day can cause stocked supplies to go quickly, when I asked one of the many workers on golf carts about it, they laughed and said, "Yeah there isn't any anywhere." The restrooms were very unclean, and no attention seemed to be going toward them despite golf carts with 2-3 workers riding around, stopping to talk to people. It was just disappointing to see that no one was taking it as a priority even though this was obviously a health concern.

The employees were nice enough, and I do feel like they were watching for safety concerns - swimmers, boats coming through, cars speeding, etc. I would just rather the park charge a small fee again so that needed supplies can...

Went to hike some of the trails in the park. Stopped by the headquarters to get a map. They only had black & white maps available. I tried to follow the map to the trail heads. However NONE of the trail heads are show on the map. Drove to where the trails came close to the roads. There were NO signage for the trails, trail heads or any other indications. I stopped some of the maintenance people and they first suggested the map. WHen I pointed out there were not trailheads shon, they pointed me to some of them. Once I got on a trail I kept seeing colored wooden arrows, without any other markings. Remember the map was B&W, so the colored marked meant nothing. I did run into a couple of signs on the trail but without any directional arrows.

There were several interaction of trails but again without any signage.

There is a disc golf course (maybe 2) but these are not shown on the map either.

The bathrooms were great. The playground is also very nice.

However without proper maps and signage the park is a...

Beautiful park, we camped in a primitive site right on the water. The lady that was there when we checked in was very nice. It was very nice but we could hear a lot of background noise, traffic and we could hear the football game and band. We wanted to rent canoe's but the coastal cleanup had them all rented on Saturday and when we went up to rent one Sunday they were short staffed and we couldn't get one we were a little disappointed but we still had a good weekend. My children were a little disappointed too because the swing sets had no swings. All in all a nice weekend

This park is dope af! Tons of trails to hike, some super cool rustic campsites by the creek, Frisbee golf course with a beautiful sweet skunky aroma coming from it, kayak launch, beach, and probably a bunch of stuff I don't even know about. Great place to walk your dog and/or hunt for mushies. My wife and I found an absolute goldmine of Chanterelles in a secret location that is super hard to find so don't even bother going to look for it. We also found a non-venoumous snake, but don't worry he was just hanging out people watching.

Beautiful place for the entire family. Picnic areas, shade trees, playground area for the kids. You can host birthday parties, family reunions and much much more. Remember you must reserve a spot in advance to host a party and reserve your picnic table. The water is nice to take a swin or enjoy a boat ride, bring your jet skies too. Camping, basketball court, bike trails and much much more. Fun for the entire family. My son took a nap on the calm water. Remember to bring water, snacks, and etc. for your family to enjoy.
