This is a hidden gem for the region! There's a wide range of hiking trails available to the public. Some trails are very easy (short, flat) others are more difficult (long, uneven terrain, some uphill portions). We saw several beautiful birds along the trail and DOZENS of orange salamanders.

The two times I have visited here I walked up to the summit of Brown Hill along the northern set of trails. South of the parking lot and visitor center is another set of trails I have yet to experience. The top of Brown Hill has a nice view from the large clearing up there.
