Jasper Point (Prineville Reservoir State Park) — Attraction in Prineville

First come first serve even in summer..... rare for a campground on the water! Kinda risky though because it is a ways out and you might risk not get a spot considering there are only 28 spots in this park. We arrived on a Thursday evening in mid August and snagged the last available site - #26. The sites themselves are nothing to get excited about, lack privacy, are pretty dusty, and most do not have direct water access. There are bathrooms and a nice boat launch. However the water is a short walk away. We grabbed a cooler and some towels and walked the beach left from the boat launch, past the last of the campsites, and found a long stretch we had nearly to ourselves. I would recommend it for people with boats...

At the time the lake was dried out, so my family and I walked on it. It was honestly really fun and we had a lot of fun playing in the mud. If you have a metal detector, it's a great idea to bring that with you in the event that you'd like to search for stuff in the lake bed. The place is okay little crowded little spendy but it is Campground with pay sites what do you expect the water is right there the weather was good. Camp host were able to help out this they could my trailer wouldn't fit in the spot at Warren so they were quick to change spots for me it wasn't the exact spot I wanted...
