We were here primarily to play at the playground and it wasn't "beach" weather so I can't comment too much on the lake/boating - but: The beach looked pretty decent There was playground equipment for really little kids and then slightly-bigger but still little kids, so that was nice. Restrooms, if a little basic, were definitely a plus. There was a decent amount of volleyball courts, so I imagine they get some good use There was kindofa neat permanent bags area that I had never seen at a park before There was at least 2 shelters (in good condition) in the area that I could see and they both were getting some family reunion use

The only real negative - which I suppose probably helps with the upkeep of the park - was that you have to pay to park. Obviously not a big deal to people within walking distance, but a consideration if you...

Two stars because I'm nice. First time going there with bunch of friends and kids and wasn't even impressed a bit. The sand was rough on the shore and in the water. Pretty small area and the lake was full of weeds, a murky, brown/green color and algae. The boats and jetskis throttled very close to the swimming zone constantly. To park the vehicle costs $5.00. I now remember why I stay with my regular lake. Free parking, clean water with cute sun fishes, the shore is long enough to give us space, boaters and jetskiiers stay away from the zone and nice sand (the next town east from Prior Lake). Out of 11,842 lakes in this state,...

This little neighborhood beach is a great place for kids to experience lake swimming and sand castle building. There is a grassy area with picnic tables and a shelter you can reserve. Or just sit in your chair and look at the boats and the huge houses on the lake. Parking in the summer can be full and it is pay to park then but during the off season parking is free and there's a fun playground.

Beautiful place, clean water and park, lots of amenities. Never had any issues with people there, no one gives me trouble over the giant pooltoys, everyone is friendly, very safe and welcoming environment for me to float in. I’m quite picky about beaches and this is my favorite beach by far. Only complaint is boaters can get a little too close sometimes.
