For anyone who loves war history and military aircraft, this museum is the best way, hands down, to spend a half-day in Pueblo! Wonderfully curated, this exceptionally well-done museum features two large hangars packed with restored aircraft from all five branches of service (including a large USCG plane), tons of standing cases of assorted war and military memorabilia, and seating areas with TVs looping historical footage relevant to nearby displays. Outside, they have a number of planes on static display, and even a couple of picnic tables among them (my dream picnic - but do call them to verify)! Several friendly, knowledgable docents are available to answer any questions and tell you all you want to know about the aircraft and history. They have a budding space collection that I missed since my husband was on a timeline, so I plan to go back again! The gift shop is wonderful, and I wish I’d had more cash on me - but next time, for sure! We went on a Monday morning when they opened, by the way, and were the only ones there. That meant we could get great pics without other people in them! A HIGHLY recommend museum.

This place was truly an accidental find. We were heading from one destination to another on our Colorado vacation when I noticed the sign for this Air museum. Well worth the short trip off the highway. It truly had some incredible planes. Don't let the outside fool you as there is very little visible outside as you drive in. The staff there is all volunteer and they are incredibly knowledgeable about the planes housed within. cost my wife and I less than 20 bucks with the senior discount. They have a B-29 that was rolled onto the concrete pad prior to the hangar being built. They actually built the hangar around the B-29. Even my wife that likes airplanes about as much as she likes chicken, which is not at all, enjoyed herself. Do yourself a favor and go by there dish support the efforts of this group and the museum. You will truly be happier for doing so.

This museum is spectacular. We took a preschool group and some of the information was definitely above their heads, but the moms enjoyed it too. The stem lab was adjusted to be at their level and the kids especially loved to explore the planes and helicopters. The volunteers are VETS for the most part and extremely knowledgeable and passionate. The price was reasonable $5 per adult and kids under 7 were free. I will be back and I highly suggest the museum to others. Strollers fit and I used a side by side double with no problem.

AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL! POWERFUL! INSPIRING. PASSIONATE! HOME OF HEROS! Again, Pueblo! THANK YOU!

THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME SEE THAT HEROS are all around us.

AND,. THE HOG IS AS AMAZING AS ITS PILOTS! Research the A10 WARTHOG. The power of collaboration. What a beautiful vibe this place has.

I COULD ONLY TAKE A FEW STEPS IN before stopping, .I was thunderstruck! I could not believe what they have here. When you see it, you will agree. So cool.

I am not a plane person, but you don't have to be to enjoy and appreciate this place. I mean, well done! I can see why.., .the people, THE VOLUNTEERS.... RARE PLACE!

True AWESOMENESS. ON THE NEXT LEVEL. I MEAN IT! IF YOU VISIT, you will agree! GREAT for families. And it is getting so much more! It is only getting better.

ADMITTANCE IS VERY REASONABLE. And the gift shop has some really, really cool and unique things. I forgot to get my T shirt of "Peachy" :(.

A lot of HARD WORK IS GOING ON HERE! AND IT SHOWS.

Thank you for helping me have a...

We went to Weisbrod aviation museum, wonderful friendly staff, and an impressive collection of historic aircraft. The low-key docent, Michael Sumida, patiently explained the history, and quietly answered questions about the museum and the aircraft. Only after asking about his own career, did we find out he was an USAF Academy graduate, a Colonel and a Wing Commander of the C-130 fire bombers. He is a very humble and interesting person. He initially mentioned he was part of the Iranian hostage rescue, but I assumed it was part of the massive support effort, and didn’t circle back to ask what his role was on Operation Eagle Claw…..big mistake. After we got home, read an article where it turns out he was a member of a surviving C-130 aircrew in the horrible sandstorm. A missed opportunity to learn about history from one who was actually there. Like Col Sumida, there are many hidden gems in the museum, both aviation and the early space program. just a great place,...
