A week in sunny Puerto Rico! Here’s everything you need to know! STAY: we stayed exclusive at properties by @dreamers.welcome and trust me this is a must stay for the island! We stayed in Duna & Selva and neither disappointed. Both are gorgeously designed, in great locations and between you and me Seleva is a MUST! DO: take a day trip to Culebra! The beaches are absolutely insane and the ferry only cost $2. Be warned though it was INTENSE. many people on the ferry thru up 🙃 EAT: food was super hit and miss, and generally the local food wasn’t for me. I recommend doing your research and making reservations as places get super busy @kumorooftop & @laestacionpr are an ABSOLUTE MUST! TIP: Get a car, if you want to do excursions it’s much easier if you get a car! VISIT: The old town both at day and night. At night bars have live bands and salad dancing! #puertorico #puertoricođŸ‡”đŸ‡· #travel #carribean #visitpuertorico #girlstrip #roadtrip

Playa La Selva is the kind of place that feels like it belongs in a dream or on the cover of a travel magazine. Tucked away in the Northeast Ecological Corridor, this beach is the epitome of untouched beauty and tranquility—a true hidden gem for those willing to take the journey. The adventure begins with a scenic 40-minute hike from Playa La Pared in Luquillo, weaving through lush tropical landscapes and dense greenery. The walk itself is part of the experience, as you’re completely immersed in nature, with the promise of pristine shores waiting for you at the end. And what a reward it is! Playa La Selva greets you with golden sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, framed by lush vegetation that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon your own private paradise. The beach is secluded and peaceful, with only the sound of waves and birds to keep you company. If you're lucky, you might even spot leatherback turtles nesting or other native wildlife, adding a magical touch to your visit. This is a place where you can truly disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life. Whether you’re lounging on the sand, wading in the calm waters, or simply marveling at the breathtaking surroundings, Playa La Selva offers a sense of serenity and connection with nature that’s hard to find elsewhere. Keep in mind, this beach is a raw, natural beauty—it doesn’t have facilities, vendors, or crowds. That’s part of its charm, but it also means you need to come prepared with water, snacks, and sun protection. Leave nothing behind but your footprints to help preserve this ecological treasure. Playa La Selva isn’t just a beach—it’s an adventure, an escape, and a reminder of how stunningly beautiful Puerto Rico is. For those who love exploring hidden spots and embracing nature’s wonders, this beach is an absolute must-visit. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and completely in awe of this magical place.

My husband took us ( me and our two children 5 & 3 to this breathtaking hidden gem. His father is a surfer and took him there as a child to watch him surf. If you're inexperienced, off-road driver, you can drive most of the way in. If you plan to park and walk, it is quite a hike, maybe a mile and a half to 2 miles and if has rained recently there will be lots and lots of mud . The risk is definitely worth the reward. The hidden oasis is an absolute paradise. It's secluded and has incredible views. It should be noted. The waves here are strong and can be dangerous. We had to stay close to the kids once in the water. This is not exactly a safe place to swim with children or if you're not an advanced swimmer. The waves got stronger and stronger. Be very careful when getting in the water here. Definitely bring water and snacks. Hundred percent worth the track if you're willing, we saw iguanas crabs and turtles on our way in. Absolutely...

Playa La Selva in Luquillo is a hidden treasure for those who love adventure and untouched nature. This beach is secluded, wild, and absolutely stunning — soft sand, turquoise waters, and the lush forest surrounding it makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a private paradise.

Getting there takes some effort since you’ll need to walk or hike in, but that’s exactly why it feels so special once you arrive. There are no crowds, no noise, just the sound of the waves and the beauty of Puerto Rico’s natural coastline.

Because it’s so remote, there aren’t any facilities, so it’s best to bring your own water, snacks, and essentials. The reward is total peace and a breathtaking view that feels far away from the busy tourist areas.

If you’re in Luquillo and want to explore beyond the well-known beaches, Playa La Selva is a must — the perfect spot for travelers looking for raw beauty and a real connection...
