I've only used Tail Waggin for boarding. As much as I'd like to try daycare because I know my dog would love it, my experience so far does not give me the confidence that they have their ducks in a row enough for me to want to use them more.
The last two times I dropped off for boarding they had our information wrong. One recent drop off I was reprimanded for dropping off at the "wrong time". I was dropping off Sunday in the 4-6 timeframe, because those are the hours posted on their website. Apparently those are only pickup hours, drop off is in the morning, but that was never communicated. Then there's the "one family in the lobby at a time" policy. I understand the policy but if they have a plan for traffic flow that's not communicated either. Sometimes there's a line outside, sometimes anyone without a dog (I assume picking up) just walk in ahead of people waiting outside with their dogs. I'm not interested in standing outside for 20 minutes while they can't maintain a first come, first...
Read moreWe were required to do a "pet screening" for 2 hours prior to being allowed to bring our puppy there. They said "he did great! He is welcome back anytime!" The staff was very helpful and kind. When my son's girlfriend went to pick him up, she was told by the owner that he "needed obedience training ASAP and had behavior issues". She was told that obedience training classes started in September and he should get signed up immediately to break his "bad habits". When asked what those were she was told he "jumps on people". She was also chastised because we paid for an exit bath that was given the night before we picked him up and then when let out in the morning before we picked him up he got dirty again. Um? He is a 4 month old puppy! He is going to get dirty if you put him out with pools and dirty concrete. This will be a last resort for us. I am disappointed to say the least. It seems like the owner is more concerned with making money then taking care of an adorable...
Read moreThe first red flag was the way management openly treated their staff. They are very non-communicative and disrespectful. How could I trust my dog if I can't trust the staff to even be trained properly? Multiple times staff confided that they did not go through proper protocol training for dog fights or dog training and were just thrown into the job. Very unprofessional. For Renee, who quite obviously reads these reviews and tends to take them quite personally, you should be embarrassed that you are aware of all of these problems with your business and instead of stepping up and being a strong career driven woman, you deflect all of the issues and whine about how it's not your fault. Go spend your bonus check you took from your employees on a community college business class, or better yet, communications. Animal behavior? I don't really know how to help you...
