Crowell Cemetery — Attraction in Quanah

Visited my ancestors interred in this cemetery.

I used to visit my great grandmother Schlagel at her farm north of Cromwell when I was a child.

She & my Greatgrandad Schlagel are buried here, her parents & her mom"s mother as well.

So I visited the gravesite of my great-great-great grandmother on my dad's side. She was born in 1799. My husband drove me from Gorman, TX for a spontaneous visit & we enjoyed the sunset here. ( My husband has been a high schoolhistory teacher/coach for the past 30 years & is retiring effective May 31st).

I am still slowly researching all my Schlagel relations buried in this cemetery so I can visit their gravesites before we relocate to NW Arkansas to be much closer to some if our...
