A Long Drive for Disrespect — Deeply Unpleasant Visit to Villa del Sol Sweet Cherry Farms
After a two-hour drive filled with anticipation, our visit to Villa del Sol Sweet Cherry Farms turned into a disappointing and regrettable experience — entirely due to the behavior of the staff.
The orchard itself may offer decent fruit, but any potential charm was completely eclipsed by the sheer rudeness and dismissiveness we encountered. Basic courtesy seemed absent. When we asked simple questions, we were met with impatience and hostility, as though our presence was an inconvenience rather than the reason they’re in business.
There was no sense of hospitality, no warmth, and certainly no understanding of how to treat paying guests with respect. It’s astonishing that a place operating in the service and tourism space could be so disconnected from the very concept of customer care.
I cannot recommend this farm to anyone who values a welcoming environment. The journey was long, the atmosphere tense, and the memories—unpleasant. There are many other farms that value their visitors. This, unfortunately, is not...
Read moreWent out last week to this beautiful little cherry 🍒 orchard. Oh my god it was ridiculous windy but got there at 3.45pm. They were closing at 4pm but still let us in and we spent a good hour picking cherries and walking through the aisles of trees. The drice was relaxing and beautiful! Just beware it is $6 per pound and those cute delicious harmless cherries will have you spending if you dont know your pounds or get cherry picking crazy! I spent around $16 for 2.5 pounds roughly. Between my two parents $50 including a $10 raw honey jar. The family of 4 in front of us - a whopping $100!! The two small kids pre teens had their lil buckets filled plus whatever the parents got so yes know your pounds lol. The cherries dark red (bing) 🍒were juicy and delicious! I went more for the experience and to take my parents out somewhere safe. There werent many ppl there when we went last Friday and everyone was well spread out over 10ft. 🍒 I'd go again and pick around the...
Read moreBoyfriend took me here to go cherry picking and the staff here are great. At the time, there were two types of cherries to pick from and the staff were great at helping us spot trees and where to pick. We went last June and it does it get hot so wear appropriate attire, hat and sunglasses were my must and follow the guidelines on their website and they will also share with you when you arrive. And bring water too. I didn’t realize how hot it would be out there, as the bottom part of sneaker separated later on.
The heat unfortunately was too much for my boyfriend’s mom, who is in her 80s, as she did pass out in the heat but the Villa del Sol staff were quick and so helpful bringing water and rags to keep her cool, while paramedics were called as it’s part of the farms protocols. Luckily, she was ok and the staff offered to comp our cherries but I insisted I pay for our cherries due to the amazing and...
