Legend has it this historic port was a popular hideout and smuggling spot for pirates. like the rest of the Caribbean, was no stranger to piracy during the Spanish colonization. Today, the most common association with them is the northwestern town of Quebradillas, nicknamed La Guarida del Pirata (“The Pirate’s Hideout”). Along the Quebradillas coastline lie the remains of an old port that locals believe was once a popular place for contraband and piracy. Read moreA beautiful place to see. It wasn't great for swimming though since it was a little rough. Be careful of the steep hill street you have to go down to get to the beach /parking lot. We only went for the view but there were a few sunbathers there. Oh they have a picnic table area if you want it use it. I enjoyed the history part of it most.
