I don't know where the entrance of the beach is, if there's one at all. I actually slid down a hill, flew through the woods, and landed myself onto the beach, lol. The beach is rocky. Dead seashells, seaweed and other mysterious objects are everywhere. It's super quiet --I went in a warm summer day and there was no other human being in sight the entire time. It was a bit spooky indeed. I don't suggest going there by yourself, well, unless you need some serious alone time for self-reflection or meditation...
Read moreNickerson is a quite, out-of-the-way, beach that is never crowded. The rocky shore offers beautiful views of the harbor and downtown Boston. Good for fishing, Great for photography, not so good for swimming though.
They say you at low tide you can walk the spit to Thompson Island. But I have never tried, nor do I recommend it. The tide come in fast. And yes people have been stranded on Thompson Island...
