I was here a few weeks ago and I cannot believe that no one else mentioned how much trash was on this beach. It was almost all you could see. It was unbelievable to me that anyone could leave this much crap behind. Car bumpers, literally bags of trash, a porta potty knocked over. I’m can’t believe I didn’t catch a needle! The positive things I have to say are that I was able to find some good shells and a variety of rocks including opal, jasper, granite, and some large chucks of sea glass - although, with all the trash, that’s not surprising. Lots of Portuguese man of war jellies, but the trash was just too unbelievable. As though every collage party in Texas happened on the beach and left it there. If not for finding good beach combing, I would have rated this a one star. Surely not the only one who expects beaches...
Read morePark next to the water, clean, most people are mindful of others. Vehicles driving by are safety minded. Many people pitch canopies and tents next to vehicles by the water. Best beach experiences for family/friends, couples or solo. Unlimited sea shells to collect. June 2023; no algae but be VERY AWARE of small jelly fish. NOT DEADLY but if caught in it's tentacles, not comfortable. Google what to bring to the beach if stung by common jelly fish for treatment. Google other beaches in the area & pre-plan.

I loved throwing food at the seagull they fight for it and always want it to be first in line, but sometimes there always one seagull that wants to eats and tell the other to step back because he wants it to himself always.
