Rio Grande Beach — Attraction in Río Grande

The beach itself is near the mouth of a nearby river resulting in a "mixing" of water and brackish water at the mouth of the river. The water is warmmmm, the nearby seaside restaurant has an amazingly large sampler combo with everything from fish to pork fried chicken, to Mofongo etc...there are numerous coconut trees and shaded areas, and when open, the seaside bars serve...

Neat how the river goes into the ocean. I didn’t attempt to get in the river or the ocean here because of not knowing anything about it. This is a perfect beach to go to for privacy, just walk to the beach to the right of the river and keep walking until you see the beauty of the rainforest in the background.. most beautiful experience seeing both ocean and mountains...

Another review says there is food, there is no food. There's not much of anything besides beach here, which was nice for us. This beach is relatively small and secluded. If you're looking for a more private spot without too much going on, then this...
