Harford Park is my favorite off-leash park for dogs. Most of the time, the groups of dogs we encounter are very socialized. The owners are also a friendly group. But the star of the show is the park itself.

The grounds are lush, well maintained and lots of shade beneath the trees along its perimiter and a few benches and picnic tables. Speaking of perimiter... there is NO fence. So, if you have a dog you worry about running away, you might want ti avoid this one. Most dogs however, stay within the confines of the park. Occasionally, mine goes exploring and I lose sight of him for a while, but he always reemerges from the path on the other side. The dogs always follow each other back to the main area where the owners are hanging out while their dogs do zoomies around them.

There is a fresh water fountain. You press a button at about waist level and water flows into a bowl that the dogs can drink from. Make sure your pooch has all current vaccines including the optional ones for bordadello and canine influenza to be on the safe side since they share water from the same bowl. There's also a creek that some of them discover eventually, in case you wonder why your little fur buddy is suddenly soaking wet.

If your dog is sociable with other pets and people, and you enjoy the wide open spaces, Harford Park is one offleash dog park...

I really like this park and so did my pup Maggie. We were visiting PA and so I was looking for a dog park nearby and found this one. I was a little nervous about it because it is not fenced in and Maggie had only gone to dog parks that were fenced previously. However it was such a great experience for her and she was so happy with all of the dogs that she had a chance to meet. The park is huge and very clean and the owners really are attentive to their dogs and making sure that they socialize well. It is the best dog park that I have been to and will look for one closer to my home in...

I’ve been going here 25 years. In this time my three dogs have loved it. Had 1 dog bite my dog was bitten n it was scary but over all mostly everything goes well there. People clean up, they watch their pets and correct them. When they n if they don’t, I leave. My dog loves it and that’s what matters! ( only 1 Husky is mine) He found playmates! (Enjoy my cat in video!) Pepper found a woman in her car a few years ago having a heart attack, we were able to get an ambulance n I heard she made it! Without him finding her, no one would have ever known, she was not parked near...
