Brost Farms — Attraction in Raisinville Township

Had a great experience with this place and will likely be buying more meat from them in the future. Some impressions of my experience are as follows.

-When arriving and leaving the cute, calm, and friendly dogs will make your day better.

-When you look at the meat you can tell it is a notch above everything you will get in Walmart, Meijer, and Kroger.

-This freezers/market area were clean, simple, and exactly where you would want your meat to come from.

-This is the type of establishment that everyone looks to buy meat from but instead goes to a large corporate store for low quality mass produced slop.

-The price that you are going to pay is comparable to what you will buy in a big store but with the storage being significantly better, the packaging is significantly better, and you can visibly look at the quality of the meat.

Not to mention the lady behind all of this was very kind and friendly. Even if you don't plan on buying something I would recommend stopping in to check out the prices and meats. I think the best selling point for this place was experiencing...

11.8 MILLION POUNDS of meat being recalled as I post this. NOT at Brost farms. If you want to know where your beef comes from. If you want beef that has no hormones or added GMOs this is the place for you. Grass fed pasture raised. Everything they feed to the cows is organic and grown on the farm. Does it cost more than the cheap crap you buy at the grocery store or warehouse store yes a bit. But you know exactly what you are buying, what it was fed, how it was raised, and that it was properly processed. You can taste the difference. This is a small family-run business. They may not answer the phone when you call. It may even take them 24 hours to respond to a text email or a message left on the phone. They are busy running a farm. Your patience will be rewarded with some of the best beef that has been humanely raised that you have ever had the privilege of purchasing. On a side note they are a really nice young family. Our family has been getting our beef from Brost Farm for years now, and I honestly can’t say enough good things. Not only is the quality unmatched, rich, flavorful, and fresh, but knowing it comes from a family farm that truly cares about their animals and land makes it even better. I have a really hard time eating meat and knowing that these animals had the absolute best life with Katilyn, Kevin and their son helps so much. The way they love them animals on their farm is truly beautiful.

Every cut we’ve had has been incredible, from tender roasts to the juiciest ground beef. It feels so good to support a local family doing things the right way.
