The Neuse River trail is a great place to walk, ride a bike, roller skate, one-wheel, etc. It is a well-maintained paved trail that is wide enough for traffic in both directions and wide enough for passing people going the same direction while staying on the paved trail. There are parts of the path that get flooded after heavy rain storms, but on a dry day, the trees provide nice shade on most of the trail at most times of the day. As always, be mindful of your surroundings. I have seen a few snakes and coyotes while walking and cycling. They were as interested in me as a child in church but never take that for granted because wildlife can be very unpredictable.
Also, it is a great place to create your own white noise or relaxing sounds. I've seen a few people doing that in the early mornings and evenings. Anywho, enjoy getting and staying healthy!! Remember - A thousand miles begins with the...
