Sacramento Fine Arts Center — Attraction in Rancho Cordova

Not thrilled with lack of proper security in staging art exhibits.

I had a sculptural piece accepted to one of their shows which involved more than 30 individual pieces. It was exhibited in a back room with no cameras or security, enabling thieves to steal several of the pieces. Because artists have to sign a waiver of responsibility to show their work in visiting galleries, the onus of the loss is on us, but one would hope a gallery would take expected lengths to secure and protect visiting...

First, the people are fantastic! Every person I've met has been friendly and approachable. Everyone is very supportive. Whether you are an aspiring artist or just an art fan, SFAC orders a lot. There are a ton of classes and self-directed activities. I've been to the figure drawing a few times. And the gallery has been on point! Very nice people, wonderful art. Lots of classes and art events. Gift shop and used books/magazines at a very reasonable price. It’s an old school building which was kind of unexpected but they have it laid out well. Parking is somewhat limited but just try not to go when school is...
