Sailor Bar Park Olive Avenue River Access — Attraction in Rancho Cordova

absolutely unbelievable!! i never expected to see the American ,River seemingly sweeping through the back yards of some amazingly fortunate people who live in Sacramento! I mean literally i was driving and looking for this Sailors Bar rtc...and i was seeing house after house and NO WHERE any sign of a river, and thinking i had made a wrong turn or Google needed an update, when suddenly a narrow steep road opend up to a dusty dirt road which led into sailors bar--and i parked and followed another road which led me to the great American River in all its...

A nice quiet area with a large amount of picnic tables set apart under the canopy of the huge well established trees. There is also a jogging and bicycle path (paved) that rings thru here and continues for miles along the river. Restroom facilities are adequate and kept very well maintained and very clean. Nice lower key type of place to enjoy a picnic or just some quiet reflection of you are not wanting to utilize the bicycle/ jogging path. Definitely...

This is a nice park I discovered recently. It's great for walks or hitting the river if you enjoy fishing as there are plenty of outlets and plenty of parking available.
