The lights were as expected. We come every year and the kids really enjoy the sights. However, this year we came a little early and waited till 5:30 pm as we were told the lights come on at 5:30 pm and some houses were still not on. So if you come early to try to avoid the crazy traffic mess...you may find not all the displays are on. We drove through Thoroughbred at around 5:50 PM and some were still not on. We made it through by 6 PM and the line was already back to 19th street on Sapphire. This was still an enjoyable experience as usual as most displays were on and the friendly neighbors would wave to us as we drove by. If you are thinking about driving by...do it...you will enjoy it especially for the kiddos. If you are thinking about walking the displays...in have read and heard many conflicting statements...some say you can walk M - TH but not on weekends. Not too sure about how true that is. We did witness some walking this time around on Sat but not many...we even say Police turn around some families trying to walk. Truth be told...the experience is much better walking as we have in times past walked the...
Read moreIt was pretty nice. If you live with in a 30 min proximity from here I would definitely suggest that you go check it out. It took us over an hour to get there from where I live and in my opinion it wasn't worth the drive because it was just ok it wasn't spectacular. Like I was expecting that every house in the neighborhood would be participating and be going all out with the lights and that's not how it was. The reality of the situation was that maybe every 3rd or 4th house had lights that were actually nice enough to take a picture of. The other houses had no lights or so few lights that u could find better decorated houses in your own neighborhood. If I had to take a random guess I would say that there were probably around 3 dozen or so houses that were really worth looking at. Which isn't really that many houses when u think about it. Definitely not worth driving for more than an hour to see. I added photos of most of the best houses that you will see if u happen to visit this...
Read moreThis is our first year visiting here. One of the best Christmas Lights in SoCal and its an amazing visual treat. Hats off to all the house owners whoever put on the lights. It was such a great experience to all our friends and family. If you have a chance to walk through it, do it, because drive thru is tiresome compared to walking with the family (total time 40 mins - 60 mins). After we have entered Thoroughbred St via Carnelian, We took a right turn in Cameo St before entering Sapphire intersection and decided to park there and walk as we found a few parking spots available (took half an hour to reach at this point from Carnelian) that was the best decision we have made after saw tons of cars were waiting to enter Thoroughbred, Sapphire intersection (that's where the lights decorations begins) Cons: Efficient...
