Some people are nice here, but there's also people being disrespectful. A guy on a bicycle on a no bicycle trail rode up behind me at the start and I told him I think this is a no biking trail. His reply was"but its only a short distance", aka the whole trail because theres only one public outlet. He admitted to knowing hes on a no bike trail, but still rides on past me like I'm the a hole riding a bike where they don't belong. There's plenty of other bike trails, its no bicycles for a reason, also the rudeness. Never see park rangers here looking after the area, they're all in Portuguese...
Read moreOne my favorite natural areas to hike! This is a really cool place with several ocean view loop trails! Parking with access is from the Ladera Linda Park. From there, cross Forrestal Drive to the trailhead. There’s gate access past the trailhead on Forrestal for sports field players and attendees. At the end of Forrestal is a dirt trail that loops up and connects with the trail above and alongside Forrestal Drive, back before the gate. I always like to end the hike here...
Read moreGreat beginner trail, seeing as how it’s the beginning of spring there are plenty of wildflowers everywhere. It’s very beautiful and provides sweeping views of the ocean. I went early in the morning so the ocean breeze really helped keep me cool even with the sun shining.
There are designated trails for hiking, cycling, and horse riding which is very helpful. My only complaint is the dog poop, please pick up after your pets, people!
