Great place to get away from the crowds! Entrance east just outside of Dinosaur (unfortunately nothing in that town but two gas stations and three CBD stores...). The ranger station was closed but the bathrooms open on the Sunday it late April we were there. 30 mile one way drive into the park with numerous overlooks and a cool trail at the end. Saw two or three other cars the entire time we were there. GREAT! Nice relaxing experience. If you want well maintained roads and facilities and the park experience without the people this is a place to put on your list. No dinosaur stuff at this one if that is your goal but beautiful views and relaxing pace.

Visitor center is a great starting point for the drive through the area. Paved road is a little over 30 miles of amazing views with turnouts allowing great photo opportunities. These photos are from various points we stopped. Be careful since there is livestock on the roadside and occasionally the road. The horses are an example. Lots of cattle also but didn't get photos since I was driving.

This is a small but really nice visitor center and somewhere to stop before doing Harpers Corner. The staff are friendly and helpful, with a good knowledge of the area. Its good to stop here and pick up maps of the area so that you can see where you can go off the main road and where the best hikes are. We also stopped for the loos :-)

Mason with NPS is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! We had a wonderful conversation and learned a lot from him before visiting both the Utah and Colorado sides of Dinosaur National Monument. Bringing our dogs with us made our decisions about which parts of the park to check out much easier! Fantastic experience overall (accessible, dog- and family-friendly, and something for everyone to enjoy, regardless of fitness level). We'll...

A small visitor center with a gift shop and theater manned by the park ranger. Easy access to restrooms which are outside of the Visitor center building. There are no exhibits here other than a short reel about the canyon and the Green & Yampa rivers. The scenic drive offers a great view of the butte and canyons below. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended to drive towards Echo Park and parts of it was inaccessible due to...
