The entire Carter's Dam and Lake area was the best part of my 3-day birthday trip. The lake was so beautiful and the Northbank Park gave the best views of both the lake and the dam. The two overlook areas near the Nature Center had nice views as well. The clerk at the Nature Center could have shown a little professionalism. He never addressed me as I came in because he was sleeping on the desk with his phone audio loud blasting a football game. No boat ramp exactly there, but several are very close, a couple less than a mile or two.
