I recently made a review about the service that we had at the campsite and somehow it was removed Deleted let me start from the beginning
My husband and I checked in and they had us in a sight that was too small for our rig she directed un to spot 11 that was fine no problems we set up we ate dinner we went to bed Our times that we go to bed are different from others so i woke up the next day probably around 2 PM from a perfect stranger banking on our rig telling my husband that he was in the wrong spot my husband showed him the paperwork and I wrecked the man to the camp host not 20 mins later the host banging on the door yelling at my husband (she bellowed the trash goes in the garbage she yelled this 5 times from the bottom of our staid to my husbandI told her in the same voice we hear u She being pointed her finger at my husband and said oh you wanna get kicked out you know what you guys are out of here we both my husband and I looked at each other looked back at her and said for what she just got back on her cart drove behind our RV unplugged our electricity and rolled back down to the front of the property my husband and I been called Sheriff Martinez she came down she did nothing the lady was yelling with the neighbors talking about that black girl over there I could not believe what she was saying she added every view to Rover saying that we were kicked off site because we wouldn’t comply with the trash rules and that’s not true she was racist she was mean she was rude and she did not deserve to be a manager of anything this was all to cover up for the mistake that she made The previous day when she put us in spot 11 which apparently was his spot because he was waving his arms all over the place and yelling about it before she banged on our rig about the trash I only gave this review one star because I couldn’t give it anything less we sent a private message to the Instagram page for raton pass no one has responded I’m sure if I were a regular I would’ve been excepted but this place we will never talk in their...
Read moreRatón Pass is a 7,800+ foot mountain pass on the Colorado-New Mexico border, on busy I-25. It's quite lovely up there when the weather is nice. The view seems to go on forever and it's green, fresh, and clean. When the weather is not so nice and there is snow, it can be even more beautiful, but usually one's eyes are glued to the road and much of the scenery is missed. Care is needed there whatever the weather. There has been a fire, and much of the natural green is gone. Please use the ashtray if you smoke. Our forests are too dry for anyone to toss a hot cigarette butt. The name is Spanish for 'mouse'. The man who first discovered that he could charge for passage over the pass and made a fortune, was privately called a 'rat - hence RATon Pass. This is a BUSY Pass. It remains the only way for truckers to across the state line. They don't do as well as faster smaller cars. Please be patient. They want to cross safely too and are looking out for...
Read moreHow do you rate a pass? Should I base it on the weather or having someone I know follow me- a not good driver who thinks the speed limit is way too fast, slows down, gets angry cars are passing her, that I won't drive below the speed limit too…? It's an interstate highway pass; big heavy trucks and passenger cars can handle it in theory. If it causes you concern, your brakes overheat or you feel out of control, learn to drive mountain roads. There's got to be books, videos and classes to help. Don't put anyone else at risk by driving too slowly (they don't care if you think they're all too fast) or...
