We were killing time in Red Bay waiting for service on our Tiffin motorhome, so we went to the Red Bay Museum. Traveling around the country, we have seen a lot of these local museums, but this is one of the best we have seen, especially for town the size of Red Bay. The museum is only open two days a week for only a few hours, so it is easy to miss. You can easily spend an hour or two here. There is a really nice collection of Tammy Wynette artifacts and memorabilia. We enjoyed our visit and recommended it.

Sure, there may be fancier museums out there, but this one is a very nice collection. On top of that, I came a bit late but the curator stayed an hour past closing to chat with me and tell me about the things on display. This is what makes this a five-star...

Neat store, lots of tammy wynette stuff upstairs, all kinds of things from the history of Red Bay and it's surrounding areas, nice lady in there, real informative. Note: google may say it's open 1-4pm Tues. and Thurs., it's 1:30-4pm still...
