Red Bay Museum — Attraction in Red Bay

We were killing time in Red Bay waiting for service on our Tiffin motorhome, so we went to the Red Bay Museum. Traveling around the country, we have seen a lot of these local museums, but this is one of the best we have seen, especially for town the size of Red Bay. The museum is only open two days a week for only a few hours, so it is easy to miss. You can easily spend an hour or two here. Sure, there may be fancier museums out there, but this one is a very nice collection. On top of that, I came a bit late but the curator stayed an hour past closing to chat with me and tell me about the things on display. This is what makes this a five-star...

Neat store, lots of tammy wynette stuff upstairs, all kinds of things from the history of Red Bay and it's surrounding areas, nice lady in there, real informative. Note: google may say it's open 1-4pm Tues. and Thurs., it's 1:30-4pm still...
