Open Farmhouse — Attraction in Redding

A few weeks ago, my husband and I gave a dinner reception to celebrate our recent elopement at Open Farmhouse. We were SO impressed with our experience with the venue as well as the hosts, Cody and Lincoln. It was truly the perfect way for us to celebrate our union. The property itself is incredible- peaceful farmland and verdant gardens surround a home that is historic, stately and full of charm. Being able to spend the night (in beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable rooms) with our closest family and friends and enjoying a leisurely breakfast the next morning was one of my favorite memories of the weekend. Cody and Lincoln made the experience of planning the event so simple- they were even able to recommend a wonderful catering company (Herbaceous Catering) that uses produce grown right on their farm. Cody also did incredible floral arrangements for our dinner table and made me a bridal bouquet. Open Farmhouse was absolutely beautiful. The house, the grounds, the gorgeous garden truly created the perfect atmosphere for our stay. In fact, everyone in our group of 8 agreed that it was the perfect space to host our reunion. Lincoln and Cody are such wonderful, attentive and hospitable hosts, who truly went above and beyond to make everyone happy and comfortable. Perfect co-living and co-working getaway from New York city to live in nature, on 300 acres of farmland, with chickens, goats, horse, turkey, and ducks. I spent an entire month living there with 3 other residents and it was the best way to find some work life balance. Not to mention the fresh produce from the farm, the communal meals, nearby walks, monastery, and waterfalls. Lincoln and Cody have built a great place and community, and they put their heart and soul into making sure everyone is well taken care of. Can't wait to go back...
