Great place to walk the beach as the fisherman chilled. Found cool shells. The Jetties are fascinating and the driftwood was abundant. Found a jellyfish stranded and the place was none too crowded on a Friday late morning. Close to the Umpqua Lighthouse, definitely worth checking out. Note that the sand is deep in some areas of the dunes and not easy to traverse. There is a public bathroom but it is rustic, to be kind!

Anywhere you visit on the oregon coast is five stars. Can never get enough of this place I call home. The drift wood is beautiful and fun to create shelters. All kinds of different shells wash up and other beach combing. The light house is a must see and of course camping and fun with ATVs on the dunes. Oh and crabbing and fishing... Wow I could just go on and on!

Was a great place to park to enter the dunes and have a great day of fun with my daughter. Local restrooms, a charge of $4 at this particular time, so know that and easy access to the dunes. Met some friendly people who I got to help and others helped me. Trying to get change was quite the issue but two locals helped me out. Thank you, so we could enjoy our day.

It was like nothing I've ever seen...nothing as more beautiful than a dark red rose covered in snow...it was very nice and relaxing to the crash of the waves ..not over populated with ppl. But over all I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about going to the beach...go to Ziolkouski Beach Park...the sand is can I say "Heaven Leigh"... I dedicate this day to a good friend who is greiving over a young daughter that was recently killed in a high speed chase about 5mo ago in Portland, Oregon on 122nd and Division St..I dedicate this day "Heaven Leigh "Angel" Mathews Day..RIP...it wasn't fair but we aren't the ones to decide and I know your by our side 💯😉..until we meet again my girl...fly with the angels be free and watch over us all...you are an inspiration and your legacy here in the community will forever be...

It is a great little place that I have spent countless hours at each year. This small beach has led to some of the largest and most plentiful supply of agates for me to find while rockhounding.

Word of caution: Please know when high tide is coming in. It is not unusual for the tide to envelop the ENTIRE beach, making it dangerous. This can leave no place to go if you are down on the sand to avoid the waves crashing in with the high tide! If you are hunting rocks.... PLEASE do not pick apart the sea wall that has the grades and other plants growing on top of it. Not only is that illegal, but it is also speeding up the relentless erosion process the ocean is unleashing on this area...

Depending on when you visit, this is one of the best beaches close by. I love the scenery, the ease of access (speaking of both dunes and beach). The public areas are mai trained well by camp hosts and parks and recreation. Since I've locally I often have the beach to myself. You can find rocks and shells and explore within the crevices the jetty provides. It is a common place to see a fisherman or two surf fishing. Driftwood is plentiful and people erect fun and useful shelters. Not much trash to complain about, and I hope we keep up...
