A Scenic Escape in the Heart of Reno Review: University Ridge Park, perched high atop Reno, Nevada, is an absolute gem of a destination for those seeking a serene escape within city limits. Just a stone's throw away from downtown, the park's prime location adds to its allure, making it an easily accessible retreat. On a clear, sunny day, the park becomes a veritable paradise. It offers an unbeatable, panoramic view of the cityscape below, with its spread of urban architecture seamlessly blending with the surrounding natural beauty. These stunning vistas are worth the trip alone. The park itself is a sanctuary of tranquility. The well-maintained paths invite visitors to enjoy leisurely strolls or energizing jogs, and the well-appointed picnic spots make for the perfect backdrop for a delightful outdoor meal or a quiet moment of reflection. University Ridge Park is a destination that effortlessly marries convenience with natural beauty. Its proximity to downtown Reno is a boon, allowing for quick getaways to a place where one can soak in the sunshine, breathe in the fresh air, and marvel at the stunning views. A visit to this park is indeed a must for both locals and tourists alike.

It's a go to for a view of our valley! The playground is intimate and the path is quick and simple. There's a small basketball court too. The park is usually not busy. It's a great place to see fireworks, it gets super busy, it's dark and parking is limited but the view is amazing. We can see as far as Damonte's and Virginia City's. Becareful when it's windy, it's worse up there.

This park has had so many different memories for me. It not only Has Been a fantastic place to venture into but a great place to view the Holistic development of the Reno/Sparks area. Years ago both Reno and Sparks were not as fast as it is now regarding traffic and development. Today we can see the benefits of development and businesses coming to the area by way of houses being built and bought. The park has a meaningful view at night that displays all the benefits of both cities...
